I completed my PhD from the Aerospace and Ocean Engineering Department at Virginia Tech. My research interests include multidisciplinary design optimization, sensitivity analysis, aircraft design, structural and fluid dynamics, structural vibration control, impact testing of composites and ceramics. Before starting my PhD, I worked at Airbus Engineering Center, India and MSC Software, India. I completed my Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology from the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB).

I have been very lucky to get great advisors! My PhD advisors at Virginia Tech were Dr. Robert Canfield and Dr. Mayuresh Patil. Back at IITB, my graduate advisors were Dr. P. M. Mujumdar and Dr. Ashok Joshi. I also got valuable guidance from Dr. N. K. Naik during my undergraduate years.
